Covid and travel discussion

I'm also looking at booking for the end of Sept, although will it be really worth it? I wanna know if its busy etc
From people that are there they give a different opinion than the general media portray. Tenerife is quieter than normal but definitely signs it is moving in the right direction. Some of the restrictions in place may not be for everyone but maybe this is the new normal anyway. Some good YouTube vloggers in tenerife who give up to date information and might be worth a look

Things are slowly opening. On the Parque La Plaz ( the strip) the Brahms and List, Hole in the Wall and Frankie's are open. I've heard the Soul Suite is open next week. On the Patch the Billy and I believe the Gaelic corner are open, maybe a few more.

Some sad news this last week. If anyone knows the bar Inn the Pink on the Patch the owner Rolf sadly died of covid, as did one of his regulars Trudy. I've got to know them well over the last couple of years and it's a sad loss indeed.

Don't normally drink that way but if it's opening up it means that side of town must be getting busier. I went in October last year and aim to do so this year. Am not into staying out all night anymore and long as it's 28c every day and I can go up Teide and see the dolphins, the rest is a bonus.

Yes the Brahms posts short videos each night and they're pretty busy, well as much as restrictions allow. Midnight closing isn't too bad and a few bars do afternoon entertainment if you're not a late nighter.

Midnight closing is technically 11ish last orders I guess. Think the ruling is that everyone has to be off the premises at midnight-staff included. Afternoon drinking am okay with anyway and it's the sunshine and general relaxed atmosphere that I enjoy. Hopefully the businesses can at least see some uplift in business as it was sad to see it so quiet last time

They have dolphins up there ?

They have dolphins up there ?
Yeah but they have to pay extra on the cable cars.
Actually the funniest thing I saw in many a year was a United fan in our night trip up there who strayed off the designated path. The guide warned his girlfriend he could be shot in that area - cue lots of praying and crossing of fingers. Sadly he lived but at least had the decency to fall asleep on the way back.

booked for November a few months back ive decided il take a hit from ryan air and not bother, may look again around may22
Ryanair are such a bad company, I’m never booking with them again, to talk to a person is impossible and therefore to get any joy of moving dates for reasonable amount is impossible
