Covid and travel discussion

Still a lot of uncertainty with Spain, next review is next week. Surely they can't put thousands of people in hotels?

There's no real uncertainty with Spain (apart from in your mind).

Cases are dropping.
Jabs are increasing.
Plus, we don't have capacity to put any major European tourist hotspot on the red list.....shit would really have to hit the fan for Spain or Greece to go onto the red list.

It will likely just remain Amber, which is green if double jabbed.

Although you can't rule out any eventuality with cunts like Johnson and Shapps running the show, there is really no need to worry.

OK thanks for that makes sense.

You can pick up a week self catering from a little over £200 a head, depending on dates/destination. Flights, hotel, luggage and transfers etc all included. The bank holiday Monday looks to be the cheapest date to depart. Will screengrab some stuff below.

We went to Halkidiki 7th to 12th Oct and had pretty sunny clear days with few clouds, temps were early to mid 20s and very comfortable. Once the sun went down though it did get quite chilly, and you'd need trousers and a jumper most evenings. Can get a week 4* half board first week of October for £333pp.

Thanks a lot for sharing mate, some really good value deals there.

I'm just awaiting the Champions League fixtures next week, in regards to planning an away trip in October/November. If we don't draw anyone new or someone I fancy, I may snag one of the above deals for a week instead.

This year we had planned on going to Disney, obviously delayed that now so we were looking at going in 2023 just before my daughter goes to senior school. We took her when she was 4 1/2 stayed inside had a great experience.
Disney announced yesterday basically such a hike in pricing and ways to get on rides that it will more than likely see many average Brits not go ever again. They really have become a bunch of greedy bastards and Walt will be spinning in his grave, Disney is definitely just for the rich now, wankers. They have introduced a 2 day Star Wars experience the cost for family of 4, $6000! You want to go on the best rides without queuing for hours pay $20 on top of the entrance ticket!
Set of twats.

We are going to Portugal next week. Keep us informed please.
Easy getting in and through border control at Faro. Passport, NHS Covid Pass and negative test were checked and stamped.

Meanwhile it's masks in shops, etc, but doesn't seem very strict in restaurants or bars.

Weather is brilliant, beaches even better. Up the Portugal. ;-)

Well i’m thoroughly enjoying zakynthos a beautiful island & we feel totally safe, face masks in shops hand sanitiser everywhere in bars just a few more days left of this glorious sunshine is the only prob :-(
