I returned last month cost me over £300, pre flight test around £100 and the 2 & 8 day tests were £235 which had to bought from government approved list before landing.
Rip off.

I returned from Portugal 2 weeks ago 20 euros for the antigen in Portugal, £84 for the Day 2 and day 8 test from a government approved company.

Go to a better place on green/amber and travel from there?
Maybe get a boat to Greek island.
Don't know if possible but could be a way.

A few of my colleagues have “probably” done that. I’m not going to lie on the passenger locator form so will ride it out for now.

A couple of Welsh lads on radio 5 said they had tried to get to Wales next venue by doing that.
Gone early to quarantine.
Netherlands won’t let them in because they have British passports.

It’s fucking ridiculous, I was disappointed with the announcements 3 week ago and Turkey stayed on red then, but I’ve been living in hope that it would move to amber this week. Got a email off jet2 this morning telling us our holiday to Greece has been cancelled and we will get a full refund, can't fault them it's the 3rd time it's happened and they are always on the ball with customer service

Costs are obviously being reduced, pity those prices weren’t available when I returned from Thailand.

I used https://www.rtdiagnostics.co.uk/ looks like they are out of stock though at present.

I've been through the gorvernment link and a lot of these providers are out of stock to test you at their clinic.
But they have lots of home testing kits they will send you for more than double the money.

I used the test at home from the website I linked - £84. I did notice when I looked though that some were charging more to test at home which doesn't make sense.

jet 2 confirmed my hols to majorca is going ahead on the 1st july.they are working with some companies for discounted test packages but wont probably be ready for my hols so ive been advised to sort my own,cost me about £450 for 4 antigen tests to take with us and do 3 days before we fly back and we have to email test results with qr code and passport scan and they will email a fit to fly certificate apparently,also 4 pcr test for day 2 test,seems like the next money making scam.

I know it's of little consolation to you @city saint but for any one else planning a last minute green zone holiday then TUI will let you have the tests for £20 a person. Worth factoring in when doing the pricing up. Hope you have a brilliant time regardless mate.

cheers ill do my best if this is ongoing into the future the cost and hassle will put me off,hope the holiday companys come up with something easier and cheaper
