And this is why millions travel abroad..

Why is it selfish for people who have been double vaccinated to enjoy a week away in the sun away from this country?
Should we all stay here - and expose ourselves to more risk of covid? I don't get your argument.
I'm going in October and I don't give a f****!!!!

am 50 this year with lots of mates and had lots of trips planned but that has all gone to rat shit with Covid.

we decided to book stuff towards the end of this year November December and not go in the summer (stay in uk) looking at the press conference yesterday and the subtle lube hints being applied before they shaft us we should have just fucked it and gone over summer.

the way they are talking at the moment I expect more restrictions again come later in the year cos it’s winter .

Hi mate, we’re off to Majorca on Sunday so have been doing the research Jet2 sent us.
As far as we understand it no test before you go if you’re double jabbed (must produce certification at airport), must also show proof that you’ve organised your private pcr test for day 2 after you’ve returned. Then lateral flow test in resort to show you’re negative before you fly back. There’s also something called a passenger locator form which needs filling out.

bob’s your grandma.
So the certification is the nhs app proof or do you need something from the doctors? This is great to know btw thanks

According to this the NHS app is not enough.

That's not what the article says. It says that your appointment card is not enough.

Having checked further, an NHS Covid Pass may be used to prove vaccine status for entry into Spain from England, but not the rest of the UK.

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements

The NHS App (not the NHS Covid19 App) will provide an NHS Covid Pass.

I'm there now and yes correct show your fully vaccinated at Mcr airport and that you have done the locator form. On arrival at Palma myself the Mrs and two kids breezed through. As at Mcr show your double vaxed and the QR they send you when you complete the location form and your done. Next thing you know you will be sat at the pool basking in 32° heat.
The Spanish locator form is nightmare on a mobile use a laptop or your home computer.
Masks are a must at indoor bars, eating establishments (Until seated) outdoors no masks required.

Cheers for the advice, I’ll tell my son.. I think the seal place and a small animal farm nearby are on his list of things to do

Is there any curfew etc I suppose you could just get on the beach and get pissed without having to mask up

But you literally only have to wear a mask when going to the bar and ordering. It can be removed for the rest of the time. It's not too much of a hardship mate.
