No because I had Covid in early November and therefore have immunity for at least 12 months. Will probably have it next Autumn by which time we should know more about possible side effects

This thread is a sad damning indictment of how society is nowadays. 45 pages of far pro vaccine and far anti vaccine shite with no sensible discussion in the middle and respecting others views.

And it's the same posters time and time again.

Think most people are just pro 'wanna get their quality of life back' rather than pro vaccine as such.
If a vaccine is biggest step to facilitate that, and it seemingly is, then lets hope its ready sooner rather than later so we can start getting back to some level of normality.

In a discussion of this nature, what exactly is the middle ground?
Life is crap with Covid, so either prepare yourself to be vaccinated, or face any possible social consequences of declining a vaccine.

Whilst I generally try to respect other people's opinions, if someone is posting utter bollocks lifted from Youtube then they deserve to be called out for such shit.

My middle ground view as already stated, although some have misunderstood, is I would not take it now even if offered. It's a difficult one as it'll be at least 6 months before I get the chance and at that point enough others will had had it, and therefore eliminated my short term concerns. Yes, I'm a pussy!
I'm not an anti vaxxer but the general consensus of the posters on the politics forum on here is don't believe anything the Government tell you. Well the Government are telling me it's safe so what is it?
To many people happy to rant on to suit their own agenda. Ooh, the Tories are shit, Labour are shit. They are all shit! The Tories are so far from the common man it's unbelievable and labour, the party of the working class, lost all credibility when they appointed a red rosette wearing Tory with a knighthood as their leader!
I'll wait my turn, middle of next year, for a vaccine. If I can't go to the pub, cinema etc until then, so be it. Certainly not arsed about not being able to go abroad, spend your hard earned money supporting our own knackered economy rather than spending it in Spain, Greece etc.
It's a shitty virus that I just wish would fuck right off!

Some subjects have no middle ground, mate. There is right and wrong and that’s it. This is one of those.

You are right to be suspicious about anything that Johnson and his Vote Leave cronies tell you. But it’s not the government who are telling you it’s safe. It’s the scientific community. That’s an entirely different thing.
