Thinking about title challenge only, it's probably better if there are more cases. If we had just 5 out, we would probably have to play Chelsea with no right back and without 1st choice keeper. If there is more, it will get pulled and we can play them with a full squad later in the seasonIf this is true it’s probably the end of our title challenge. There are bound to be more positives if that many have been infected. No way will we be able to deal with the fixture congestion coming our way.

I watched MOD on Saturday night after we’d beat Newcastle and I was shocked to hear no reference at all to how COVID has affected Newcastle in the last few weeks - instead Shearer talked about how Newcastle fans wouldn’t put up with their teams lack of ambition. And all this whilst his teams captain is suffering the effects of long COVID. It’s like folk are closing their eyes to the dangers of a killer virus and carrying on as if everything’s normal. Now our we’ve got infected players who could become seriously ill and / or infect other people and there’s clowns out there calling us cheats and moaning because we’ve been allowed to postpone a game and have not been asked to surrender any points. People need to get their priorities right. Stay safe folks.
