Than you for the correction. From my perspective they should not have stayed in a hotel in Tier 4, before or after because of the risk. I understand this is the norm, but believe me the management will be looking at how this happened and will try to alleviate the risk in future. Let us see what they do if we can play Chelsea.I don’t think we actually stayed overnight in the hotel but used it pre match.

The real problem with our game v arsenal was the kick off time, we normally go to london games by train (a carriage could be deep cleaned), unfortunately no trains back after the game finished, so we could fly on a private jet, but as I've already posted, London airports close for most take off's at 10pm, so again no real option, obviously there is a coach option, but that gets them home (well CFA) at about 3am, with onward travel home, hence the hotel stay, and we had a game 4 days later.Quite frankly as a retired Doctor who has been involved in football, Gillingham and Maidstone United club Doctor, I was so surprised that the team stayed in a hotel in London. It beggars belief that this was allowed. How stupid can one get. OK you have to think about fitness and recuperation, but surely players,coaches, staff welfare comes first.Especially when you have resources like private aircraft on tap.
