COVID Watch

Hopefully no-ones suffering too badly! Including families etc.

Probably shouldn't speculate, but thought Rodri looked a bit peaky the other day when he was subbed off early.

Fuck the Euros off altogether. At least that gives all leagues some movement at the end of the season.
the problem with the euros and all the other competitions is money. sponsors and tv companies have already paid for these products and the clubs have spent the money, or earmarked much of it. cancelling the euros could bankrupt many national football associations, it wont happen.

same reason the olympics wont be cancelled, too much money to be made from tv and marketing

Is it Cancelo and Torres aswell or just rumours? Seen Ederson has tested positive. Right shit show this

Gabriel now self isolating as tested positive, did he play against us?Doncaster called off next three games. Season unraveling

This is really difficult for the players and their families. They are taking the risk of playing every 3 days in different areas for the love of football and now with this outbreak many of them will be worried sick about their families, kids, parents.

Imagine the mental health of some of the players. I really feel for them

I cannot understand how a points deduction can even be discussed in these times. Many more games will be postponed as we will not be the last team to have an outbreak. I expect the Chelsea game will also be postponed and probably the Semi Final of the LC could be postponed.

I will give it another week and we will see other teams postponing games. Then what? Another League halt?

Why didn't the PL just give the players a break over the holidays for a change to let them get away from all the stress!

Stay safe everyone and I really feel for the players and wish them well

No surprise after playing in tier 4 London the other day. There will be more in the next round of tests.
Called it on Christmas Day. There’s nothing we could have realistically done to stop it. The virus is very infectious, it doesn’t mean all our squad are dicking about.

Kinnell. Didn't Sunderland have 8 players out at one point? And Newcastle had it going around as well? It almost makes you wonder why they brought football back. All the other teams who've got games coming up with BHA, the London clubs and Southampton are going to be bricking it.

Most food businesses where I live basically took the law into their own hands and did takeaway only. I don't eat out much anyway so it didn't affect me, except one time when I needed to use the toilet in the Turing Tap after a hospital appointment and ended up having lunch there. Which was weird. I've not been down the pub since March.

I don't think City should be fined points or Everton given 3. I'd rather Everton earned the points on the pitch than be given them by default.

I'm actually doing a vaccine trial at the moment and have to go for a test tomorrow cos I've got symptoms. Yay.

Correct, the lads playing are fathers and sons, they have families and lives, should they putting themselves at risk to satisfy the demands of TV? should they fuck, call a halt to the season now for 3 months at least.

I used it to help the businesses concerned, and with one exception the social distancing and precautions taken were superb.

It gave way to complacency though.

It is the 'essential shops' in which social distancing was physically impossible that were always the problem, normally the smaller shops and garages owned by large companies. Also when the pubs reopened some had no measures whatsoever bar tape on the floor which everyone ignore, and still 4 alkies smoking in the doorways keeping to the 2 mm rule.

People always seem to forget that footballers are human beings, not machines. And that many of them have kids. I remember Troy Deeney being really worried about one of his kids getting COVID because they had some kind of lung problem. Some of them might have sick relatives as well. Didn't Pep miss his mum's funeral?

Accy Stanley had 19 positive players and staff, so almost everyone. Would be promoted as it stands on PPP with the lowest budget though.
