Leicester away in the FA Cup last season was my first proper away day with City. Amazing day!

Did you join us for the pre-match shenanigans in Aylestone Bob? The Leicester branch certainly know how to throw a party...

:)
No, I went in the Counting House Pub near the ground. A song about Dzeko was made in there but it never surfaced.

Edin Dzeko, Edin Dzeko, Edin Dzeko,
he plays up front,
thinks Neville's/Rooney's a c*nt,
Edin Dzeko.

Well said Bill, good to see you posting as you don't seem to write on MuEN much nowadays. I don't either for what it's worth.

Of all the day's i've been there, and there's been several since first visit around '80, that was definately the best day out for me, even beating the promotion winning 4-1 there in 2000. Ok was probably on a par, but the result deflected the Tevez saga nicely and the weather was scorchio.
Besides, the Rovers fans are always good banter in the pubs with no sign of trouble.. The way it should be IMO.

I remember my frst visit there crammed in the Darwen end when it was all terracing, and it was so packed i couldn't move. I desperately needed the loo but was nowhere near the exits I had held my bladder as much as i could before i could stand the excruciating pain no more, and yelled " i need a pee"! Everyone parted enough for me to relieve my bursting bladder except for a rather hard of hearing elder gentleman in a rain mac stood infront. Although he never noticed i felt so embarrased splattering his mac to everyone's amusement stood around me!

i think munich will take some beating, from start to finish absoluteblinder of a trip!

bar the shit performance obviously, but cant remember much of that anyway!

-- Mon Oct 03, 2011 4:28 pm --

that was a good one and Notts County
county was a good day, apart from hooters being full at 11am full of city on the first train,

i couldnt get in and i live 5 mins away! nearly blobbed it that day, good job edin was there to save our arses!

Enjoyed Fulham away years ago when we played em at Loftus road. Fulham away last season was class too. Nothing will ever ever beat munich for me. I would give anything for us to get to the final.

Saturday was great but for me, all the aways have been sound so far this season. Tottenham was the best for me. Only a quarter of the following from Blackburn but a lovely sunny day, a decent pint in Haringey Irish Centre before the game, followed by one of the greatest performances in my 30-odd years of watching City.
Fulham was a top day as well, checking out the posh totty and lowering the tone in Putney. Shame about the final 44 minutes of the game.
Bolton was good but I found myself sitting next to a really nice lady with a bit of a weirdo of a husband. The fella thought he was some ageing American film star or other, forget his name now. Not Al Pacino, the other fella..
