I was thinking that as well. Is GDB really the dead poster 'Oldham Blue' or his widow 'Gina'? Very similar style of posting and started to post on here when 'Toffeesforme' reappeared on another City forum.

I am not a fan of Bellemy but i do admit that he brings a lot to City; i think there's a way he and Robinho can co-exist, whereby Robbie would be the playmaker and roam around freely.

I don't think Adabayor is the striker we need; not saying he's not good, but i think we need someone who has a bit more technique. yes he can score goals but with the ball @ his feet, he's clueless.

so maybe Bellamy and Tevez up front, and have Robbie support them...and u can either bring ade or rsc off the bench in the second half.

it happens, we know that. but they've never gone against the fans wishes before, except, hughes still had quite a lot of support. they knew that. I can't think that they'd interfere with the new guy's squad, and jeopardise the goodwill they have with the fans just for kicks... for one thing Bellamy is far more popular than Hughes ever was... it's not been their style to make unpopular decisions...I believe (more or less) that popular sentiment amongst the fans more or less persuaded them to stick with Hughes this time last year, I believe they were instrumental in bringing SWP to the club because they knew it would be popular, I believe that they probably take the fan's views into account as a matter of course on transfer dealings (petrov/bentley swap not going through always felt like it was the board saying no to hughes)... so this would be a massive about face, and... why? bellamy actually gets quite good press now... his injuries are the only reason I can think of, and that's not enough of a reason....unless the tale that's being told is that someone got pissed off by his actions in the aftermath of hughes' sacking, pissed off enough to sell him against the wishes of the fans who are essential to keeping them in their job.

Agree with that, with the caveat that if it turns out Bellamy is disrupting the dressing room because he is sulking over Hughes then I won't shed a single tear if he goes, no matter who sells him!

I would hope his popularity amongst the fans would plummet under those circumstances, but who knows these days? Used to be we all had the good of the club at heart, but I'm not so sure anymore...

Well then having the good of the club at heart means getting behind players like Bellamy, Tevez and SWP!! Don't believe all the media bullshit that goes on!!
