I was just reading article about Craig Bellamy in today's M(U)EN and it got me thinking, if he took the post(or indeed any)as a manager I assume that Cardiff would have to pay a transfer fee for his playing registration. Is that the case or do some other rules apply when you move into management?

I cant imagine he will play for us again. If press reports are correct he is likely to go back to Cardiff as a player next season and we are still paying his wages.:-(((
It would be nice to reduce this outlay. IMO one season is generous two seasons would be foolish.

He would have to retire as a player, before he could take up the managers job otherwise they will have to stump up for his registration.

Let's just give him to them, if he plays then good luck to him

he's worth 7/8 mil, sell him for 4 and we'll recoup his wages we paid last season.

Not on last season performance he didnt look out of place in the 2nd div for me. He worth 1m at best and wont move due to the high wages. I bet we would love to give him away as it would save £7 million in wages

Have you been watching the same player???? 1 million??

Surely we would have to get something, I can't see him playing for us again.

I wish him the best...

I can see MCFC and Bellers mutually agreeing to call it a day without the contract being paid up - unless Bellers adopts the 'mercenary' approach and wants to screw us one last time. I suspect that if the chance of moving straight into management was on offer he would jump at it. There's many an out of work manager would bite off their own arm to get the Cardiff job.
