Craig "Shez" Shennan (sadly passed today 01/06)

Devastating news. Shez was City’s greatest ever fan and greatest ever character for me. While the club are commissioning a statue for De Bruyne, they should also be doing the same for Shez. The lengths he went to in following City are off the scale, particularly as he managed to also get to follow the women’s and youth teams home and away too. And doing it all with a smile on his face. Not to mention a sense of humour that was both bizarre and unique. The thing with Shez is that even if you only ever met him the once, there was a good chance that you’d get to witness him pulling off some stunt or other. I’ve posted some of those stories on here and there are more too!

RIP big man

Nailed it my friend. Just got back from the off licence and will be a bottle of Glavia deep in minutes. City group chats are the best therapy for a lot of his good friends tonight.

If you and any other BM'ers who knew Shez are attending the Firbank match, we must make it our business to put faces to names and raise a glass to Shez's memory. We'll all probably know each others faces anyway, no doubt.

Didn’t know the fella but going by this thread he was a top bloke and the ultimate City fan ..R.I.P Shez and condolences to his family and friends..

That really is a great idea to have a statue dedicated to the passion of the fans

And shez was s wonderful example of that

Shit. Worked with Shez for a few months at Royal Mail - proper, proper blue and all round nice guy. RIP X

I knew Shez from the Kippax in the late 80's as a few have mentioned he had 'Grover' the blue muppet from Sesame Street as a hand puppet?! I don't know why, as I never asked! But Shez was a proper character, always seemed to be smiling and/or ballooning - unless someone took Grover off him... That was the maddest I ever saw him :)
I don't go as much as I used to, but he was always great to bump into for a laugh and a beer in most cases.

RIP Shez, a great blue and an even greater man - this one really hit me, as it has a lot on here! I hope his family can take a lot of heart from this, knowing how much of a great impact and good feelings he left with those that met him.

RIP Blue. Did not know him, but recognised him from one of the earlier posts mentioning Grover. Remember him having Grover with him at QPR, the week after we played them in the cup. I am sure he was on the pitch after we equalised...

Rest in paradise blue. Saw ‘Shez’ at multiple away games over the years but didn’t know him personally. Reading the many messages on here it’s clear that his work ethic, humour, personality as well as his love for City were unbelievable. He sounds like he was an amazing father and freind too. Sending love and condolences to his family and many friends.
