Have sent on to our owners for their response. We had something similar recently when Colin Murray from MOTD2 was caught on some Canadian radio station saying that Sheikh Mansour had the eyes of a serial killer and other similarly crass observations.

Our owner view was to rise above it and to deliberately refuse to comment. Culturally this is very much their way and public verbal tennis tends not to be favoured.

Will keep you posted. In the absence of owner reaction I'll write to him pointing out how inappropriate this is. I'll send him a copy of our annual report ( details the changes/buildings/achievements under our new ownership etc

Are one or two you missing the point about emailing Mr Evans and not noting in your email the financial loss his club may endear if they do in fact gain a draw at the COMS. I'm sure in the past City have been quite charitable to lower level teams gate receipts wise.

Perhaps a letter directed to his clubs owners might be a little bit more cunning?
