I really thought we'd put a sneaky bid in for him in the summer

Considering we can't sign anyone until january we should see what Johnson's fitness and form is like by then. Whatever people have said about him (most of which was probably BS) it took him about 4 touches to remind us all of his quality last week. I'd be very sad to see his way back blocked if he can prove his fitness.

Miralem Pjanic of Lyon, he's only 19 and at the mentioned price incredibly cheap. As I am Bosnian I have watched him play for the national team, though usually he gets thrown on from the bench. Despite not always playing full games the impact he makes is incredible, a bit like we saw from Ireland when he came on against Villa last night. Seeing as though we need competition for Stevie I think Pjanic would be perfect, but I'm not quite sure he'll be eager to leave so soon after cementing his place in Lyon's starting 11 and the fact we don't have Champs league this year, though next year we should ;).
