Didn’t think we did too bad yesterday. If you win the toss and put the other team into bat, you really want to be batting yourself before the end of the day.

The problem is a par score doesn’t really mean anything when the other team has Smith!

Jack Leach looks like the only player with a test match batting technique.

He stays still, plays it late and doesn't square up. He plays it very simply.

Eh? Toe end of the bat. The forward and back views won't give an answer but there was a clear sound which the umpire should be taking into account.
