To be fair, this is the exact way it is reported by the Beeb:
“Meaning they needed 69 runs and Australia six wickets from the final 15 overs.”
What a deeply satisfying series this has been, though! Riveting. It had absolutely everything. India being humiliated as never before in the first test, that monumental last-ditch third test draw, through to this, at fortress Gabba.

Irrespective of the result, I think most would agree that this is their best bowling attack since the McGrath/Gillespie/Lee/Warne days. Cummins and Hazelwood are both top class and Lyon has 399 test wickets.

Great to see them lose a home series to India’s B team though.
To be the best bowling attack you have to take wickets under pressure and they failed to do so in this series and at Headingley. They are good but not great.

I think you need both in Test cricket. Play the long game in first innings. Then second innings, you might need to play T20 shots to reach or set a target or you might need to bat long to save the game. That's why Stokes is great, he can do whatever is required. See his innings at Headingley where he was 3 not out after facing 80 odd balls, then biff bosh bash to win the game.
All in moderation indeed.

Personally I can't watch a T20 match all the way through but a strategic blast in a test innings can be great.

A great series win for India and that's with the injuries they have had. Be a great series in India -for England.

As for the Ashes - the Aussies are weak in the batting department. Only Smith & Labuschange are decent. The key will be to get them quickly thus giving their bowlers less time with their feet up between innings. You can't see them scoring 300+ unless those 2 perform.
