When Mathews fell, Sri Lanka were on 232 for 5. All out for 381. Even on a pitch that isn't offering much, this has been a poor day in the field for England. A very expensive day. Over and over again over the decades, I've seen England do this, i.e. get their foot on their opponent's neck, and then let them off the hook.
