I want to go to bed but this is great to watch,

Stop flagging!!! What time is it mate? I struggle through until tea time when its over there... Bar Perth which is a couple of hours more...

1230am now , not that late, but everyone goes to bed at 830pm and gets up at first light over here.

12.30!!! Is that all?? bloody hell mate, try sitting in the freezing cold at 4.00am, trying not to make any noise as England tear the Aussies a new one because you'll wake up the other half, that was hard work ;-)

Guessing that was the day we won by 2 runs?

What a test that was.

I just remember the Hollies stand singing 'Barmy army' for ages. Absolutely fantastic.

We won it on the Sunday, everyone was hung over and very nervous, I was there both days. The Saturday was when Freddie Flintoff picked up the whole series by the scruff of the neck and threw it around. He whacked the Aussies out of the ground with the bat and bowled 'that' over which ended in Ponting's wicket. It was electric stuff, i've got goosebumps thinking about it.

Oh yes! What an over that was, but what a performance by Flintoff. Trying to think of a better all round performance by a player.

OT, Headingley or (even the Oval) they'd be roaring the bowlers in at this time of day after 2 quick wickets.

Haha, it's freezing over here tonight, well 6 degrees actually but is cold.

Don't forget bob willis in that match too when he was bowling.

I think i will forget a lot of things, like my name for example, before i forget about RGD Willis mate. I watched 'From the Ashes' last night as my warm up for today, tells the story of 81. Its carved into my brain.

Was talking about that tonight as the test started, also the OT test Botham v Lillee, memories from long ago as a kid.
These "new" cricket fans think the game only started in last 10yrs

Agreed hooking Lillee off his nose for 6 but it was as an all around performance. Headingley was amazing, he got 50 odd in the first innings 6 wickets, 149 not out, a wicket in the last innings and catches. All from being told he was finished a couple of weeks before.

Absolutely. In terms of Both personally and in terms of the series Headingley is prob the best all round performance ive seen. Think he also took 5-1 to furnish a win at edgbaston

This is the risk with playing 4 bowlers. One gets injured you have to bowl your other 3 into the deck. Anderson and Finn look fucked.
