Where are you Pom in Oz?

I live in the Manchester of Australia, the Macedon Ranges.
Whenever someone ask's where i live, i tell them to look North, if there is a big, black cloud over it, that is where i live.
I love it as we have all 4 seasons, kangaroos jumping up our road, and a wine industry on our door step, life is fucking brilliant.
Within the local area we have had Bruce Springsteen and rocking Rod Stewart doing gigs, in the last 8 months.
All good ;)

Re: ********The Ashes********

How fucking lucky is Smith? Could have been out 50 times this innings.

It's beautiful watching us give the Aussies a good pummelling at their favourite two sports within a week. Glorious.

I wouldn't call today a pummelling mate.
Nicely balanced match I'd say.

Shit, I've posted in the wrong thread. There was a bloke from Brisbane in today's Dads' Egg & Spoon race.

I'd say England have finished the day on top with those 4 wickets. When Trott went we were 124-4

Possibly we edged it, but a lot will depend on the opening session tomorrow.
If England do go on to win it, then they got out of jail, as some of our batting was lamentable.
We lost four wickets late on for one run, so it's by no means a foregone conclusion.

The batting was poor, its a nasty habit England have got into of putting themselves on the back foot after the first innings of a series, we seem to do it time and time again.

As Cookie said though, i cant see us being that bad again and i can see this pitch being a bunsen come day 4 or 5.

Re: ********The Ashes********

Bowl them out for 250 or less and England win this game. Simple.

Our day,just
I don't think they will get us all out that cheap again.

Only slightly

And if the sun shines tomorrow it could tip the other way.

Clarke was a big wicket

Re: ********The Ashes********

its looking like a 3 day test if we can take early wickets tomorrow
I still think they are soft after the openers have gone and don't think they could sit in like England can if they need to bat for a day to save a test

also I think we need to change the open batting with cook and trott and not root who should be in at 4 or 5
