Yep and he should at least be on 30 100. 22 times he got to 50 and didn’t go on to get a ton.
Yea Root knows he should have converted more scored of 50 plus into tons in the previous couple of years. That said, Root is probably in the best form of his career, averages over 50 and captaining a pretty successful England side. He will be our record run scorer if he plays until his mid 30s

This video is interesting on how they assessed it and deem it okay, and it looks okay to me ...

its does on the testing centre video's ? but on the video it clearly shows his arm bend and jerk and looks like a sling arm ? why do they have to judge it on the test centre when the bowler could easy just bowl normal ? they should be watching him bowl in test cricket or club cricket

I haven't watched a lot of him but I just see the hyper-extension of the arm but it always straightens as it moves up from behind and over his shoulder. It's the way the arm accelerates that gives that whip effect that looks like a throw, but for me it's legal.

In this pic you can see the bowling arm bending the "wrong" way. His other arm is at its highest point in his action - he holds it forward horizontally when running in then moves it up about 45 degrees (as in the photo) then it drops down. Meanwhile his bowling arm whips round, moving down from the position shown there, upwards behind his body, over his shoulder before releasing just after the 12 o'clock position. All that 360 degree motion of his bowling arm looks legit to me.

I'll be surprised if he lasts very long in the game as a fast bowler though, his feet and legs go all over the place. When he runs, his right foot turns in.

still not sure ?? from the front view it looks dodgy and defo a sling jerk looking action and comes out about 11 on a clock face ? but the from behind view it looks ok and straight and its a shoulder rotation that fools you

yes your also right about it not going to last long ? his body will fall apart his foot movement will lead to back trouble and side muscle tears also are going to happen. maybe jimmy anderson could help in working out a better setup because jimmy had the same problem early on in his career

Didn’t realise they break for lunch at 11.30am - earliest I’ve ever seen that - does it go dark over there at 5pm in the afternoon?
