The running and fielding left a lot to be desired but I thought there were plenty of decent shots.
There's clearly a big gap between the top international teams and club players. I think this format and free TV coverage will play a big part in improving the quality. Good game tonight but Manchester threw it away.

It's a mess imo. As for that scorecard on screen......

What was with the colours?

Garish. Unfit players. Awful fielding.

I understand it's going to be good for the Women's game but why start with it? From the BBC website...

"Could the much-debated Hundred have had a better opening night? Almost certainly not."

Erm...yes, yes it could. Stick in two men's teams to generate first night interest.

I do realise as well that it's not aimed at me but at the youth.

Along with Hitler, Dr Beeching and Lenin, the person who invented this tosh should have been strangled at birth

I found it difficult to identify what the difference was to T20. All the modifications appear to be marginal. Different and useless graphics(on my TV anyway), no overs and you can mix and match bowlers but you will still only have bowlers bowling what difference does it make if they bowl in a different order. They should have gone the whole way and made 10 players on the team bowl 2 sets of 5. Was there anything else different that I didn't notice. I had rather hoped that with 20 balls less per team they would go for every shot but there were more dot balls than you get in T20. Hopefully the mens game will prove me wrong.

You still can’t throw your wicket away. You need your top 6 batters taking the majority of the balls.

I think you’ve summed it up pretty well. It’s not likely to take off as it is so similar to T20.

It looked like there was different forms of entertainment in the stands for the kids too.
