Who do England actually have as a genuine Test level batsman apart from Root?
Problem is, that's a great knock already, but it's not enough as it stands. We really need England to bat through to close of play and get a lead of over 200.

Buttler and Bairstow are good middle-order batsmen that are playing much worse than their level because they keep getting put in way too early because the top order collapses.
1 good opener would transform this batting line up.

Yep it give us a bit of a chance if we get 200 but everything has to go our way
