Yes, well injuries are certainly not uncommon with England's bowlers. I've pointed out before that England have never been able to field Anderson, Archer, Broad, and Wood in the same Test, which given how potent they could have been as an attack is a great pity. Imagine those four with Stokes added to the mix?
You can see from the three selections in the Caribbean that they were clearly happy playing a settled 1-8 (9 if you include Leach) but that the bowling attack remains unsettled. One could obviously argue that Anderson and Broad would settle that issue, but that's only postponing the inevitable and the question will still need to be addressed. For me, it remains England's nagging problem, but the inevitable batting collapses mean it is understandably regarded as a secondary issue.
