Exactly. He held one end up, and provided invaluable support to Rooooooot™. If he'd gone early on this morning, would you have bet against a trademark England batting collapse?
No second new ball was key too, but we’d have been relying on Broad trying to bludgeon a few before being bowled.

So no.

Will see Parkinson again this series? Can Leach play Friday with his concussion? Think the main problem is, is the tail not many that can actually bat and get big runs. Think we need stokes to step up in the bowing department so we can play an all rounder in the team.

Who knows on Leach. They say 10 days to recover from concussion and he’ll be on about day 8. It didn’t look that serious when it happened.

Whether he plays it not doesn’t resolve our big tail. Not sure how we can change that unless we don’t play a spinner or swap a fast bowler, which seem unlikely.

Parkinson looked ok, without being very threatening. Is that because of the pitch? Guess we find out if he’s picked again.

He needs more variation in pace for me. He seemed quite one dimensional.

I think Parkinson will be playing again.
Leach will probably need a few more days rest.
