Personally I would tell Parkinson that he will be in the next 2 test matches but ecb the powers that be won’t they have thing about leg spinners never get a fair crack. Why Leach gets the backing he does I don’t know!? It’s annoying even Husain saying Leach should come back in the side for fcuks sake don’t they see what we see leach can be get at smashed he brings fuck all to the team a leg spinner given the full backing confidence of everyone will make a difference.

Very pleased by Stokes setting attacking fields when the ball was doing a bit for the quicker bowlers. Much improved catching. Whole team seem more positive. Now find some batters 1-2-3.

I was talking to a recently retired first class umpire yesterday.
Should know his stuff having done over 200 County matches and almost the same T20 and ODIs.
He said Crawley is very highly rated and Bairstow is a huge talent.
However his point was that Brooks had played six CC games and batted superbly where as Bairstow had been playing white ball on the sub continent on much different wickets !!!! A strange selection.

then we need the fast bowlers to step up and get fit,
batting there is something in the squad to build with like Alex Lees Zak Crawley then the wicket keeper Ben Foakes
so let's not jump and shout just yet because we know England are very good at home and can tape over the cracks very well

I don’t think Crawley will be a long term player for England. He can’t not attempt the drive outside off stump.
We saw it yesterday in the over before lunch. Lees had just gone and he was tempted repeatedly and couldn’t resist.

The bowlers like usual have been good and done their job well but the batting has been pathetic again hasn't it. If it wasn't for Root again we'd have lost after bowling them out for 140 first dig. I'd love someone to explain the thinking of Pope at 3 to me a talented lad who's a shot a ball up there isn't going to work.
