Yep I agree - thoughtless slogging indeed.So thoughtless slogging? I guess that does lead to why there are so many one-sided matches, and why a crafty bowler tie them in knots.
I'd thought one difference seems to be (also in the 50 over stuff) that England batsmen seem to hit the ball in the air more than the opponents. It may just be perception, and much of the time it'll be fine, but there seems to be an urge to out-macho the opponents by putting the ball in the crowd. Mentioning no Livingstones.
He was also saying that practice now includes constantly trying to hit sixes every ball ffs.
