Yup... Sammy said they did not have Jersey when they arrived in India.. They had 0 support from boardThey seem to have a lot of issues with the people running cricket back home. And Mark Nicholas and Shane Warne copping for some flak as well.
20:20. Were we watching a different Final?
The t20 cricket World Cup final, smarty pants. I can put my life on it being proper cricket, unless I was watching a different game to you.
It's a bastardised form of cricket. It's not proper cricket if you can win a game without bowling a team out. It's a game designed to entertain the masses who have a low attention span and require constant stimulation.
Test cricket is crippled by it's lack of a real competition. Instead you just have the rankings, but does anyone really know how that's worked out, especially with different teams playing different amounts of games? There is only really the Ashes as a proper contest where you seem to be playing for something significant. They really need to figure out some kind of competitive structure for test cricket if they want it to survive, as no other sport that I can think of goes by the random "everyone just play as many games as you want and them some guy with a calculator tells you who is the best in the world" style of competition.I agree totally with your sentiment mate, we are a dying breed however, I love test cricket, cricket in its purest form, the clue is in the title, a true test of ability. We are fighting against the tide though, T20 is here to stay and is getting more popular, it seems only England and Australia have any time for test cricket these days. I would hope 50 over cricket will be the one to go if a format has to be dropped but I fear for the future of anything but crash bang wallop cricket.

Problem is you want more countries playing cricket.. The t20 being 3 hour game is best bet for cricket to increase its footprint... I cannot see test cricket helping to globalise the game

I don't mind test cricket, but it can get boring. A near enough empty stadium with no astmosphere, five day test match which ends in a draw, shite. T20 you know what your going to get majority of the time. It is proper cricket to me, im pretty sure twenty overs will be the most played throughout England.
If you play cricket midweek it is and always has been T20 cricket, its all that has ever been played, but on weekends when most people play, it is no way near the most played.
