Been a really good fightback from Lancs. Mahmood looks a star in the making, how old is he? Shame to see his pace drop off so much in his second spell, something for him to work on.

They'll be disappointed if they don't win it from here. Derbyshire need around 9 per over, with only 5 wickets left.

He's only 19, blimey. Very good performance from Lancs, don't think they had any right to win it halfway through the Derby innings. Sure Derbyshire have been something of a bogey team recently, unless my mind is playing tricks.

Australia in a bit of bother. Mendis andd Sandakan look like finds for SL on their pitches at least. Smith convinces the umpire to take them off for the light against an all spin attack, bit weak by the umpire. He gave Smith the option of staying on yesterday with a spin only attack and Smith took the new ball.

he wasn't, at the time. For quite a while he was the KP pale imitation act. If he went out of nick (like he has in first-class this season) then he'll quickly not be good enough, but his T20 stuff is thrilling and he's riding a lot of confidence and playing very well in the shorter forms. England showing him patience early on has done him wonders.

A lesson for all of us to learn, especially with Woakes.

Great performance by Sri Lanka, enjoyed watching them thoroughly outplay the number one test team. However the highlight this morning for me was an Allan Border comment on commentary, after nearly 30 overs struggling to break the 9th wicket stand of 4 the SriLankans went up for the umpteenth time. After a few well dodgy decisions this time there appears to be a big bat pad catch from one of the 9 around the bat. The umpire says not out and Border remarks, "come on umps, that ball's got splinters in it, he fair smashed that back down the pitch."

Two shocking ways to get out from Vince and Bairstow. Unless Vince goes big in the second innings, he'll be going back to county cricket if not in the next game then at the end of the series. It's a terrible habit to always look so good but keep getting yourself out. Bairstow looks like he might be on his way back down from that peak of form he's been in for the past 8/9 months.

Agree. for me Buttler should be in for Vince, hales as well just doesn't do it for me need someone with a better technique.

Strange to be in this position at this time of day...wanting the last wicket.
Probably a bit late in the day now.
Hopefully this pairing can maybe put on 20/30 runs or so instead..... here's hoping.
