Another interesting point is that there's loads of players themselves who don't enjoy playing test cricket. My mate plays for Durham, he says loads of them hate it and find it boring.

Ben Stokes by any chance? Are you able to pass on any messages?

You have to feel for Stokes, his catches kept us in it and Billings spilled his wicket but that last over would have knocked his confidence for six.

Not going to happen, test cricket is dead in the Windies now. They are just going to specialise in T20 and make it their "thing". Similar is happening in Fiji now, they are slowly sacrificing their 15s rugby to play more 7s as they are better at it.
They still handed England their asses in the scrum in the world cup and ran them close until their best player was sin binned

was gutting watching that last over. Feel for stokes but I still dont think he is as good a death bowler as people are saying, He got lucky the other day with his full tosses.

Care to back up the empty stadium claims?
Yes.i love cricket I am not arguing a point to win , just fact. There is nothing that beats ashes test match cricket but it's in serious decline elsewhere earound the world. Even in England other than Thursday Friday if not Australia then they are not a sell out. Test matches in the windies not against England in particular are empty. The game was dying and lovers of the bat were turning to baseball. 20 20 has save cricket in the windies. It's a fast world now and the 4 day game and 5 day game is losing appeal unfortunately. That's the world now. Look at India the most cricket mad country in the world they are 20 20 potty and to be fair to them have made the ipl a world seller like our own premier league. Cricket has reached new appeal. Even my wife will watch 20 20 cricket. Btw I think she could have chucked 4 better bowls down at the end yesterday.......

A ****, shithouse, twat, fraud, disgrace

This is the cricketer who was only hailed an hero v New Zealand for his bowling

Deary fuckin me this lad is the future and a potential superstar.

The problem with T20 is too much relies on luck. The toss was key yesterday and in the end it was four shots that came off for the batter. I don't mind watching it but always get the sense it's turning into a slogging match like baseball. I'd limit bat weights to keep some of the skill that's a joy to watch. Can't beat a wonderfully timed cover drive for me.

I'd also be tempted to dump the fifty overs game but make key games like finals and semis two legged or two innings even.

All that said, best team won yesterday. England did well to reach the final.

I think they need to look at the winning of the toss in 20/20 its such A BIG THING TO WIN I did call it win the toss and you win the world cup so here is a couple of thing they could use

1st a single over 1 batter and 6 bowlers all having just 1 ball and the team that scores the most runs or the batter gets out wins the choice
2nd a player has to throw and hit the wickets from out of the circle best of 5
3rd a 1 stump wicket and best of 6 balls

its so easy knowing what you have to chase down than set a score to defend. ok sometimes you will start on fire and score 200/220 but you still can chase it down and don't get me started on the The Duckworth–Lewis method and batting 2nd

all great shouts matey

its not really a cricket game 20/20 its about the batter hit the ball into the stands yes a baseball style of a game and bowler really does not have much control with the bat that are used in 20/20 you nick it and its 4 or 6. maybe a smaller bat or a smaller ball or give the bowler a couple more bouncers each over or a 4th stump or a smaller pitch from wicket to wicket. we must bring the bowlers into the game more and that's the part of the game that's going to be hurt in the long run everybody just wants to bat and hit the thing out of the grounds
