Anyone on here have tickets for anything coming up regarding cricket? I've got tickets for the first day vs New Zealand at Edgbaston and not heard whether I can attend or not yet

Day 3 of India at lords. Have some friends who work at the ECB and at the moment everything going ahead as planned but obviously subject to change

Batsman finishes right back in the crease, as did Gatting iirc.
I was never much of a bat, but this can't be the correct way to play legspin, especially if the pitch is worn. Can any decent batter tell me what is the correct way?
I’m not much of a batter either, but I assume they how they play the ball is determined by the length of the ball. If the batter believes they can cover/smother any spin from where the ball pitches, they’ll play forwards.

So in essence, the shorter the ball, the more likely that they play back.

Its always been inconceivable that the entire first team especially the bowlers and very likely the entire squad didn't know what was going on. Also highly likely that their cheating was going on during England's Winter tour a few months before, which would go some way to explained the big swing they managed to get and England didn't. Just a bunch of liars and cheats that got off far too lightly.

England players admitted using sweets in 2005, it is only getting caught that seems to be the wrong doing when it comes to the dark arts.
