Shock horror the short ball from wood got Green out!

I new a short ball would cause green discomfort from looking at him after an hour of me first time watching him!

WTF are the coaches doing or Or useless Captain.

Hameed has great potential but he needs to tell his dad to stop interfering - he spends hours on machines with his dad practicing his poor technique - any suggestions coaches make - his dad reverses it - Poor lad has massive respect for his dad so won't go against him and what he says.

His dad didn't trust any of the coaches at OT

His dad was probably right about the coaches at OT, to be fair.

don't know about that and their qualities - but also reversed what England coaches have said from what I've heard,

He was training in Ashton everyday with his dad at the cricket centre spending more time playing spin is what some of the people that are there daily said.

Needs to go back to basics with a top level coach and work his technique out - also have to recognise he's been tested by a bloody good seam attack and not many have succeeded this series

i was merely intimating that most Lancs batters these days are shite and regressing.

All I'd say mate - is the standard of batting across the world isn't that good - watched India in this test series vs SAFA they didn't get to 300, England not great, Australians bar Smith and Labuschangne maybe Warner, Pakistan have a couple of decent batters.

Maybe the only country at the moment with a good batting line up is New Zealand -

I had an interesting conversation with an ex England player recently and he felt the standard of coaching and the coach education programme is not fit for purpose and the bucks starts at the ECB.

Something is wrong when you have a 45 year Darren Stevens bossing the county game

Perhaps we need Glen Chapple back bowling and not coaching…

It also comes to something when England employ Mark Ramprakash to be their batting coach. The former failed test batsman who notoriously couldn’t mentally handle test cricket.

Agreed - Ramprakash is not involved anymore, it's Thorpe - there are 2 things here, technique and mental approach

I agree Ramprakash mentally didnt do it, but his technique was bloody good - the issue for batters right now is both, their techniques are all over the place as the new "modern" way of coaching is to allow the players to find their method and way - the old school method was coaching technique basics.

There are reviews taking place at the ECB now so will be interesting to see the outputs.

Fun Fact

In this series the Australians have bowled over 40% of their deliveries at 140Kph or above to the English batmen. Note this includes Lyon etc.

In English County cricket less than 1% of the total of all bowled deliveries are at 140kph or above.

Speed is killing the English batting line-up It is finding out the batting deficiencies of almost every English Batsman (including Root).

Regarding our batting when Vaughn got all those runs in Australia he pulled the good length ball because of the bounce this England team are playing ofside to much and why Root especially is getting out a lot.

I question that statistic. Only Starc and Wood consistently bowl over 140kph from either side.
 
Wtf is the matter with these damn batsmen? How can a Test match opener get himself run out!? Fucking hell it’s a five day game, why is Burns desperately trying to take one risky single?

They have neither the talent nor the application for this. Utter shit standard from the lot of them.
