When it’s good, it can’t be beaten. It's the ultimate format of the game. I totally understand the appeal of the ODI and T20 formats; a result in one day, and lots of crash, bang, wallop" stuff*. The broadcasters must love it. And judging by the attendances that test matches are getting in most parts of the world (even the GABBA was sparsely populated), it could be argued that test cricket is dying. But, for me, an exciting 5 (or even 4 or 3) day test match can't be bettered.
*That Hundred bullshit can fuck off, though.
You were right. Hope you won some money on it!
Has someone hacked Ancoats' account? That's weirdly positive.I don't gamble, But the odds after the 2nd day's play would have been big, Somebody would have won some big money on this result happening.
But boy was it a nice feeling England winning today and Hartley making good valuable runs and then taking 7 wickets

I’m fed up with bish bash bosh cricket. There’s too much of it and there’s rarely a narrative to the game. Was ok to start with but it’s stale now. Great tests like the one just finished in India are far superior. It's the ultimate format of the game.
