I think England have done ok here. Was a bad toss to lose. I fucking hate Indian pitches. About as exciting as watching Jose’s Chelsea vs Benitez’s Liverpool.

Especially the pitches that are slow gives batters time! We won't now what a good score is till we bat! Usually 2nd day pitch starts to speed up a touch too!

They’re not quick scoring though, which isn’t great for Bazball.

Getting 400 in the first innings means you won’t often lose in India.

Can anybody give an indication of how far in advance dates and venues are released for an overseas tour?
Looking to book flights for India Jan 2025 (our normal hols) but see that England are touring with 3 X ODI's and 5 X T20's in Jan and Feb 2025. For the World Cup, 2011, we were already in Goa and flew to Bangalore and then back to Goa. Would prefer to fly direct to the cricket this time (location dependant) and then on to Goa, but prices creeping up on flights.

Jesus just watching the highlights, Jadeja absolutely barbecued his batting partner for that run out! Looks a really good pitch to bat on to me, not out of it yet but we need to get rid of Jadeja early in the morning. Shame Root couldn't hold onto that chance Rohit gave early, would have made a huge difference.

Usually feel that we will be in it or at least have a chance! India bowlers though will get much more out of this pitch and bowl consistently better! We won't get 250 in first innings!

India’s tail is wagging. Someone will need to score big for England, otherwise it’s 2-1 India.
