Well looking at it positively, we lost in 2 days in the first test, 4 days in the 2nd and we've at least taken it to a 5th day this time. At current rate of progress we might get a draw in Sydney. Also, my pre-series prediction of 3-2 Australia is still alive as well !

Duckett and Pope have been incredibly disappointing this series. 222 runs between them at an average of 18.5 is a shocking return for your number 2 and 3. Criticise Crawley all you like, at least he’s shown some fight in the last two games. These two on the other hand have been utterly toothless, never looking like scoring any meaningful runs.

First 2 tests were 8 wicket losses so the same on paper. This looks like a 100+ run defeat, and not dissimilar unless they dig in a bit.

I really love watching cricket especially on a lovely sunny day there is not much better.

But what has happened to our current crop, they have no fight or desire to remain at the crease. They treat every game as a one day match.

The ECB want to take a long hard look at how our up and coming players can be coached into playing the required way to become proper test match cricketers.

If people turned up and watched CC games it would help, but there is no money in the long format at county level with fetters developing test players. Fans want the icing but are not interested in the cake.

No idea what Brook was trying to do, awful hack. Maybe he shouldn't move his feet!

Couple of hundred more from these two against Cummins et al in the morning! Archer will be good for 50, won't he??

The inevitable loss will complete one of our worst ashes performances ever.
The Aussies approach to Archer’s bowling sums it up. Archer has been our best bowler but has few wickets. Why? Because the Aussies treated him with due respect and just watchfully saw him off. If he bowled 10 overs, he would typically have 50 dot balls, a few singles and twos and no fours. England, when faced with good line and length just outside off stump simply wafted the bat around and were duly caught in the cordon. Brainless and ill disciplined.
If you get beaten by a better side, fair enough, but beating yourself this way is just awful. The Aussies aren’t even that good.

It started and ended at Perth. We absolutely had to win that test. No Cummins and Hazlewood, doubts about their top order and on top after the first day. It all unravelled after that.
