Yep mad! Maybe they didn’t want the Aussie media and the Aussie players slate him the whole series! I’d say so what ECB should have reported it and said he has been fined so much and will be suspended for the game.

Yep.. Its Strange

But if the ECB had to get a court order to stop it coming out until after the ashes, then both parties are wrong
English Cricket needs a New Governing Body because it's taking the piss and allowing players, captains coaches to get away with it.

I think I heard on the BBC Test Match special the other day that after the ashes is over it's all going to come out and kick off and heads may have to roll. I think it was when Aggers said he had to stay on until Saturday to do a series rundown and some media work ??

Yeah think McCulum is gone

He was an inspiration as a player, I love his general approach to the game (yes it hasn't been an unmitigated success with England).

He can't keep his job after this series unless there is something completely out of his control (which I can't begin to imagine what that would be).

The entire trip to NZ and Australia is just fucking bizarre - I can't believe how poorly prep'd everybody was..........

Sounds like it was a good piss up though

I actually think this will change county cricket too.

The 'suits' are members of their counties and are the ones who actually watch the County Championship.
They will demand a change.
Rob Key can talk all he wants, but members of the MCC don't like being hammered by these 'Aussie chaps!'

If we're hearing about Brook and Duckett there'll be more we haven't heard about.

Jimmy hasn't sat back and let it ride either.
He went in on Stokes when he said he was proud of Tongue and Carse for running in consistently.
Anderson said: "I had a Roy Keane moment. (I thought) That's your job!"

It's been slim pickings and praising two bowlers for running in, is VERY SLIM PICKINGS!!!

One thing I will say. If people think we've got problems, the Aussies really have.
Hazelwood, Cummins and Starc won't make the next tour. Boland will be mid 30s. Neser is 35.

Head is class. Cheat Smith is 36.
Now they need a real overhaul.

I've been thinking about that myself. They are a decent but not great team and it's very much a last hurrah and a rebuild. I suppose it all depends what they have coming through but looking at their replacement picks they were all older players. And Boland is 36 already so that probably rules him out in another two years as well.

That lad, Sam Konstas, who thought he was the dogz b******** taking on Bumrah aint the answer either.
Weatherald is shite. Khawaja has retired and they've got to find 5 bowlers!!!!!!!

The thing is, all the main days of the 5 Test matches have already sold out for the 2027 Ashes in england
The ECB doesn't give a shit if england lose because it's just cricket, a gentleman's game and a jolly good sport.

It the same in ashes down under ? The barmy army are taken for fools because they are loyal and love the crack
Until everybody stops going or doesn't buy the tickets for the home ashes 4 years in advance, nothing will change

I will say these ashes, the media and pundits have not held back and called them out and are calling for changes
But again, until you see heads rolling, nothing will happen

Can sum up this ashes tour in 3 words.... The usual crap.

I think a lot of barmy army actually live here in Australia, in fact I know one guy who is usually part of the barmy army, lives in Brisbane and this year went actually supporting Australia, decked out in Australia tracksuit top and cap.

The ECB are far too soft with the players. It's like the players are allowed to pick the itinerary and dictate the schedule.

The next ashes tour England need to play a minimum of two four day games before the first test, and then a day/night four day game before the day/night test.

If certain players don't want to go because it's too much hard work, fuck em and leave them at home.

I get your point and I agree to a large extent.
This summer we have NZ and Pakistan.
Obviously the crowds will be there, cos we're great at watching, but getting battered in 3 days costs £ms.

What was the estimated cost to cricket Australia? It was about £5m just for the Melbourne test.
That will have an impact.

It doesn't take much.
Look the way we've been treated at the Etihad. The best era we could ever imagine seeing but people were protesting last season.
Suddenly people start seeing the light.

No idea. Maybe they left it too late. Planning and organisation do not appear to have been top of the list. There’s a terrible sense of déjà vu surrounding this Ashes and the fall out after 2021-22.
The Bashes game is on a mat, more like quick cricket or net practice.

It wouldn't have helped the England team, and I'm sure they would have been allowed to play.

The next ashes down under england will 100% be the same shit, nothing will change ?
England will feel that some progress has been made and will find excuses like the DRS or the wickets, even injuries to Wood and Archer,

Yep
We didn't fool the Aussies with our big words about the age of the squad ? It was men vs boys

Worth a read.
Their summing up of the farce that's just finished; "despite being competitive in all five tests....". Seriously?
