RIP. One of my favourite non-Lancs players. He fascinated me as a youngster with his unique ability to bowl spin at pace.DEREK UNDERWOOD | 1945-2024

The kookaburra ball is rubbish.
Batters still play like it’s a duke and don’t score quickly enough to give their bowlers time to bowl out the opposition twice.
That‘s before you factor in the April hail showers.
