Just got back, a good game in the end. Not sure why we were trying to go for glory, when a single would have done. Good performance though tonight despite a few early set backs.

Picking Overton is a mystery, if he's not going to bowl what's the point.Brilliant by Livingstone. And top bollox from the young lad.
But with this team makeup it’s going to take something spectacular like that to win a game. Archer for Topley is a must next game. He looks gone and has for a while now. And surely there is a better specialist better than Overton? Barstow must be thinking WTF? And Jamie Smith HAS to be in the white ball team going forward. There’s a few in the test team that would severely strengthen this team. Although the schedule makes that pretty tough.
Always nice to beat the Aussies though.
Bethell batted well, and I bet he was really nervous after getting just 2 on his debut.
With the selection it was always the case that Salt or Livingstone would need a big score to give England a chance, and they did the majority of the work. Livingstone played a cracking innings but I thought he missed one trick in not giving the strike back to Bethell in Zampas next over after he'd just taken 20 from the previous one. Didn't get many runs and gave him the last ball of the over. Just take a single and let him take him on again.

That just about sums up all these cricket circus competitions………Well done England not sure why when we only wanted a single we were trying to knock it out of the ground, still all's well that ends well. :-)
