The pitch seems to have died or the ball is so soft that it’s easier to bat.
All we have to do is survive 55 overs and then smack it round to win.

Half an hours play, presume they'll bowl spin from both ends so maybe 6 or 7 oversHow much play will there be?
Ta, though like it may not last that long ;-)Half an hours play, presume they'll bowl spin from both ends so maybe 6 or 7 overs
It was somewhat tongue in cheek, but that’s what happened in Pakistan’s innings.50 runs too many thanks to the dropped catch really. I don't think England can play survival mode very successfully, we've got our way of playing and I don't think trying to survive this tricky spell is our way to winning. We'll try and get at them and see if we can put them into a more defensive mode. Their confidence is low, at what point do they start to panic about us chasing the runs down and leave a more conservative field? Great test match either way!
Going to be a very tough ask this. Not sure whether we go for the free-scoring approach or dig in for a change. Trouble is, if it's the latter then we'll potentially be facing a lot more overs and if it's spinning round corners....maybe a compromise between the 2 approaches might be the best way to go about itDuckett gone for nought.
Wonderful start....
