Yes, pitiful reading. You generally need more than one person to come out and perform to win a test match. The scorecard says it all.

And it was lost, well thrown away the chance of winning. If it is lost, then it was lost in the first innings.
There’s some truth in that but you can still pull it back in the 2nd innings. All hope pretty much disappeared with that top order collapse yesterday. If those 4 had added an extra 100 runs between them (not too much to ask) then we might be home and hosed by nowIf it is lost, then it was lost in the first innings.

For me it was that session when Smith and Head put a big partnership onTurning point for me was the Bairstow wicket.
The bowl to Pope was fantastic to be fairCrawley and Pope didn’t help.
Famous last words but I hope Anderson and Tongue can stick around a bit just to be a pain in the arse.
If you're pulling it back in your second innings, then you've failed to do your work in the first, in my book. So many went chasing the short ball in that innings when they should have had more runs on the board and more yards in the Australian bowlers' legs. That aside, when you put a side in you have to be expecting to get them out for less than 416. For me, England have played two Tests now when they haven't had a fully operational bowling unit in both innings. That cannot happen at Headingley. There’s some truth in that but you can still pull it back in the 2nd innings. All hope pretty much disappeared with that top order collapse yesterday. Don't be silly 2-0 up,they will celebrate.Famous last words but I hope Anderson and Tongue can stick around a bit just to be a pain in the arse.
We’re not bowling again in this testI feel this Bairstow stumping right or wrong will pretty much have consequences when the bowlers come into bowl.
