Always got to feel for someone when they've put a chance down in a Test. You're feeling dreadful about it already but then they show it again on the screen and you hear the collected exasperation of the crowd: Oooh! They then show it from another angle, one that makes you look even more culpable, and the exasperation seems to get louder: Ooooh. The cameraman then decides now would be a good time to show a close up of you. Nowhere to hide.

I'm going to call it now, Bairstow will be charged with assault for what he did to that protester.
What better way to ensure they can get away with nobody stopping them next time they pull a stunt like that than by ensuring everyone knows that if they physically touch them they'll be sued or charged.

No chance. He removed someone who had unlawfully entered the field of play, and didn't use excessive force in doing so. The most that will happen is that he'll be advised by the ECB, and maybe the met, to leave such incidents to the stewards in future. He was more gentle with the protester than I would have been in that scenario.

No proper opening batsman
No spinner
No top wicket keeper
No FAST bowler of any renown picked

Not a great recipe for success against Australia

England already in trouble here.
Yep. Edgbaston we played a very under par Australia and still managed to lose. We look flat already in the field with poor body language and Australia look very well set at 52-0.

Need something to happen quickly
