Bazball is a term for a Batting style, not bowling
The thing with batting Bazball is your opponents and winning the toss and choosing to bat or bowl,

England vs the Aussies, The world champions of test cricket ranked number 1 in the world of test cricket.
You don't play the Ashes series undercooked with little test cricket and an ageing bowling attack,

Like I said Bazball is a form of cheating yourself and cutting corners in planning, you hope to smash the ball around the ground and score 600 runs very quickly with very little work running between the wickets, it works for the ageing bowling attack we have and gives them room for poor bowling,

Can England come out and smash the ball around at Lords vs the Aussies' bowling attack ? they will have a good score on the board to put the pressure on England's batsmen and they can set attacking fields, We find out pretty soon.
Twaddle

We come to bat how long do you think Crawley will last? With his technique with batting he be gone within 10 mins we won’t get 200
The weather is going to be similar to yesterday over the next few days, but it’s going to be cooler and less humid.

England suffered from a bit of too much swing yesterday; fractions away from greeting Warner and Smith out on a few occasions but for the swing.

Wonder if that’ll affect the way the match goes?

The few more miles per hour the Aussie bowlers bowl plus Lyon’s spin will do us!

Is there 1 English player that would get in the Aussie's side?
Root and possibly Brook, Stokes, Bairstow and one of our bowlers (in English conditions).

We need to win every session today or we’re looking down the barrel of another defeat.

We were far too friendly and lackadaisical from the little I saw yesterday.

We need all out for under 400 we bat and only 2 for 160 at close of play!

It be more like Aussies will have a 500+ lead we bat at 5:15 and by the close we are 3/45

This place is like the City match day thread mate.
Personally thought yesterday was an overaction apart from the spell for Smith and Heads partnership which was poor and heads tangibly dropped. The amount of thick edges that nearly played on was bad luck. Roots drop barely carried and was tough. Pope's drop was the only glaring fuck up really, for me anyway. Better day today Im sure

The mentality was bizarre. We bowled in the right areas and created chances but there were far too many poor deliveries and heads dropped so quickly in the game. Before the late couple of wickets it was the easiest batting you'll ever see in a test match. That's partly because our attack wasn't able to get anything from the pitch but also because the attitude was so poor.

If they manage to start play at 11am then we have to have a huge hour or two and bowl them out. Limiting them to 400 would be okay.

But with the extra pace in the Aussie attack, plus Lyon they're going to destroy us I fear.

I'm usually very positive, but I think it's 2-0 unless the weather assists us.

I don’t know the forecast but there will only be two results possible if we don’t have a great first hour.

Losing the first test was disastrous. It’s a game we really should have won.

Yeah, I don't see Root's as a dropped catch. If they don't carry, they don't carry.

It does however seem that the only way England hope to get some wickets is to induce playing-on.

Might be alone in this, but I've always taken a dim view of bowlers celebrating wickets where the batsman has chopped on. It's almost always the result of a poor delivery. I suppose, though, if you serve up enough dross in a day and the batsman gets tired and plays on, you have technically induced it.
