Yeah, too many want to adopt the 'Aussie/Millwal Couln't Give A Fuck' approach and it's not solidly contained in their psyche - it doesn't work.

All that is in my post as in taking the piss out of the game when Root should know better! The drop catches the knick getting out is what what happens when you think you can do anything and it will come off! Stokes has been the one who has played sensible and realise the situation! Maybe Root will learn for stokes..
 
Agree with the Root observations, I think he has been poor and let us down at crucial moments. The dismissal getting stumped was really poor cricket and in the context of the game was reckless stupidity probably costing the test match. Back to basics Joe and cut out this blaise attitude it is affecting your overall game
 
Root came in playing positively yesterday until Crawley again gave his wicket away, then him (and Bairstow) had to change their mindset and play conservatively to get to the close, it clearly affected him mentally and resulted in him giving his wicket away to a ball that's clearing the stumps by a good foot

Been sat waiting for the first ball all day (6pm start of play here), I nipped into the kitchen to cut some chillis and garlic and came back in at 6:01pm and the silly **** was mid-walk off.

Not one of our wickets would have hit the stumps. If they’re really the best out country has to offer then we’re fucked.
