Maybe the case but it certainly won't help his case ,especially recovering from an injury

No excuse to be that out of shape for a international player, he needs dropping
Unlikely, I sense. The England system appears to be based on sticking together and persisting no matter the challenges and criticism. Hard to see them jettisoning players unless injured or something untoward happens.

It's interesting how England could gee up the crowd in Birmingham and use its energy to bowl faster and put pressure on the Australians, yet the Saturday crowd at Lord's is so sedate that it adds nothing.

We did in the first test

Robinson and Anderson are not bowling fast enough or well enough to stay in the team, Tongue could stay in but Wood and Woakes have to be given their chance so does the spinner Rehan Ahmed.
They thought that Stokes would be able to bowl a bit more I feel, Rehan would have been my choice but he realy hasn't bowled this season i can't see him being picked unless the wicket looks like a spinners paradise.
I said during the last test the Jimmy should make way he was the least effective bowler, I was suprised that Toungue was picked over Wood , but I feel he has done enough to keep his place given the other options , so Wood for Jimmy imho

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is his last test match.

Been my thoughts as well - not threatening with the ball and can't be dropping chances like that. I do think Stokes & McCullum would leave it to Jimmy to make that choice though
