Cricket Thread

Looking at OT cricket ground. Multi million rebuild, but it’s largely hotels and conference facilities. The one large stand is a temporary pile of scaffolding. I thought they were putting a new stand of the last couple of years… but a see that’s a hotel too.

No point building a massive stand that only gets used once a year compared to a hotel that’s open 24/7 365.

I get that (although with T20, the Hundred and ODIs there’s more than one big attendance per season) - my point is the spectator facilities are pretty poor at OT and much of the viewing is pitch level or not very high up. Went a few times last season and thought as a general spectator nothing has really improved.

I posted the current development in process in this thread

Need to start seeing some more half chances. Like someone said above, the pitch feels dead.

I'm struggling to keep my eyes open at the moment..

Need to get 1 of these 2 soon. They're just seeing it out until it rains again.
They look pretty well set. Hindsight is wondrous, but did we bat an hour too long yesterday? Once we got a lead of 150, given the amount of time that was going to be lost, we were highly unlikely to lose the test. But we needed the win; would that hour have been better spent bowling at them yesterday evening? They were rabbits in the headlights on friday evening.

Can't win really if we had put them in when we were 150 ahead they could be 100 in front now ?.
Who knows.
Only thing I know is we need a wicket in next 15 to 20 minutes.
One.goes they will quickly follow
