Not disagreeing that he has underperformed just that it’s unfair to blame him for the team’s collective failings. England knew that such an intensive series was going to put enormous pressure on an aging and creaking bowling unit. Indeed, of England’s six designated bowlers, I think Broad is the only one who has been firing on all cylinders this summer.

Yeah deffo pal . But the few overs Anderson bowled this morning a perfect example of why he should not have been selected this summer. The balance of this test match was handed to the Aussies when he bowled. A woeful short spell :(
