Good points. With the Tests all so close together, ultimate victory might go to the squad, rather than team, with the deeper and fitter bowling attack.Absolutely brilliant test match which is completely in the balance , patience is key on a flat pitch , something that some of us need to work on .
I do feel however that we may suffer in the second innings being short on the bowling front, England have been very unlucky with injuries to bowlers we have a good number of fast bowlers that would be very valuable in this match we just can't keep them fit
Not a chance! Strap yourself in ...NO bazball please, value our wickets and get a score on the board that on a 4th innings wicket they don't fancy getting
Not sure they know any other way. If England lose an early wicket, Australia will have Lyon on immediately to hunt Pope. England got 22 before the opening wicket fell in the first innings, so they'll be looking for more than that.NO bazball please, value our wickets and get a score on the board that on a 4th innings wicket they don't fancy getting
They've won 11 in 13 playing this way .... why should they change especially given the state of play and the prospect of weather. Not sure they know any other way. Don't expect them to do anything else and, as you say, when it has proven effective, why would you? Even if the weather does intervene and this one ends a draw, England will still hope to go to Lord's with the positive impetus of having been on the front foot from this Test. They've won 11 in 13 playing this way .... why should they change especially given the state of play and the prospect of weather.
Im just waiting for rain intervention and us declaring on 178 on the 5th day to try and force a result lol I joke obviouslywhat is a good score to give our bowlers a chance, we looked all in and not much left in the tanks plus Moeen's finger,
300 would be nice but plenty of time left in the test match
