Really disappointing to note that the furthest north in the next home ashes is Nottingham. Nothing at Headingley and nothing at lancs. 2 in London, 1 in Hampshire, Edgbaston and Trent bridge. Nothing at Headingley is particularly shocking given the ashes results and support there
I think it resorts to the same five as this year again in 2031.

Looks like Lancashire v Essex will end up a low points draw with rain every day this week as it stands in Blackpool.

They are taking turns these days, both get Ashes Tests in 2031 and India in 2025 and OT has India in 2029 too. So they have 3 of the 4 big series in the 7 year cycle.

Will be interesting to see whether they squeeze the Ashes into such a short period in 2027 and 2031. Might need to see how many injuries are picked up over this summer.

Seems like this is rushed to get it done before the Hundred. The future of the Hundred isn't certain though, which is delaying the County restructuring, both of which are sore subjects.

In the squad for today . Form hasn't been good, Smith and Jack's are performing well.
Got a ton for the seconds against Middlesex last week. Feel a bit sorry for him, as Sibley’s return saw him squeezed out, and with Pope having to bat at 3 to help for England that has reduced his chances further. The scores from the top order have been quite poor of late, save for Sibley’s heroic stand at Canterbury, so perhaps it’s time to give him another shot.
