So much for that. Will Stokes be tempted to declare now, with the forecast being what it is? Or just tell the last couple of wickets to throw the bat and see what happens?
I don't think we can bat for more than 30 mins after lunch, need to get them in with the weather about.

We have to keep batting in my opinion. We're unlikely to bowl them out for sub-200. The new ball has shown there's something for the bowlers, but we should look to keep batting and build the lead as far as possible. We'll lose overs for the change but we're going to have to bat again the way things stand so for me we have to bat on. Hopefully we can score quickly and add another 30-40. 220 to chase down will be difficult but also ensures if we do bat again we're not chasing too many.

I think I’m halfway between the two. Bat while Broad is there, declare before Anderson goes in.

The final wicket feels kind of pointless, can’t see Anderson staying in long enough to do much anyway and every ball bowled at him is one less bowled at the Aussies.

225 lead would be nice

But it’s massively pouring down in Wythenshawe at the moment, not reached Stretford yet.

Cricket is its own worst enemy sometimes. They’ve just had over 30 minutes off for a spot of lunch and now it’s raining. They know tomorrows a write off. It’s all very frustrating.

Hopefully we can get another 10-20 runs here. Give ourselves a lead of 220-230 which just gives Australia that bit more pressure when we're bowling.
