I was about to post that Bairstow is being far too slow before I saw he has 38 in 37. That’s BAZBALL I guess, makes would have been considered incredible scoring seem almost pedestrian now.
Won't be after lunch
It will be throw the bat time, as long as he's there

2 sessions over the weekend and 40 after tea tonight should be plenty.

That's minimum 90 overs, in overcast, wet conditions on an ageing pitch.
I hope you're right. Give it the big 'un after lunch, and see what happens. Quickfire 20s/30s from Wood and Broad wouldn't go amiss, along with whatever Bairstow can accrue.

the weather forecast is rain all weekend

Not quite. The forecast that I saw (Met Office) was rain pretty much all day in the northwest on Saturday, and then showers, mixed with sunny spells, on Sunday. If we can get dry periods, and a decent number of overs, that can play havoc with a batsman's concentration. We have the bowlers who can hurt them.

It's just normal with the drinks breaks, reviews, concussion checks etc.

Day 1 Session 1 - 25 overs.
Day 1 Session 2 - 24 overs.
Day 2 Session 1 - 23 overs.
Day 2 Session 2 - 25 overs.
Day 3 Session 1 - 23 overs.
I have been in work this morning so only had it on in passing, but apart from the Carey stumping, has there been any reviews on concussion breaks?

So much for that. Will Stokes be tempted to declare now, with the forecast being what it is? Or just tell the last couple of wickets to throw the bat and see what happens?
