England have fought back well to be fair.
The declaration by Stokes was a bizarre decision and in hindsight handed the Aussies a good start.
2-0 you have the opportunity to dictate but that’s where England have impressed me.
Weather is always a concern and that along with 0-2 has left a mountain to climb.

yeah they have but it was too late, Wood and Woakes should have been in from the start

So no play until at least TOMORROW
edited for accuracy stop dreaming it’s pissing down all day no way there bowling Australia out then chasing a score today , doubt they’ll be any play but if there is it’s RAINING all day so may get 3” minutes here and there get out to the boozer

Meant to be clear by 5am tomorrow, piss take. Could have been one of the best Ashes series ever if it went to a decider at the Oval.
Part of the game though. Sometimes it works in your favour, sometimes not. Sometimes you think it’s thwarted you then there’s a chink of sunshine and you take your opportunity.

Personally I’d take 2-2 if we can get a game completed at the Oval. England have a buzz about them and we’ve taken the #1 team on and done well. We’re still a bit behind them but we’ll come out of this series with a bright future. Jimmy should have retired last year in my opinion but it was still right to give him one last go on his own ground.

Yeah I agree. It’s frustrating but it is what it is.
